Virtual Journeys
Following the impact of COVID-19 on both travel and academia, we spent time rethinking how we as a business can contribute to the globalisation of students without physical travel.
Speaking with clients from all over the world, we learned that although COVID-19 disrupted the foundations from which we would normally operate, the requirement for global learning remained the same, as did the need for future talent to experience new and diverse cultures and to build international networks.
To meet this need, we designed Virtual Journeys to replace our traditional study abroad programmes.
These programmes were such a success, that we continue to offer them as a strong alternative to study abroad.
INTRODUCING "VIRTUAL JOURNEYS"
Eden Travel International's Virtual Journeys will offer professors and students the opportunity to engage with dynamic industry professionals from around the world through LIVE webinars; gaining crucial insights into the GLOBAL design industry, being inspired by real life success stories, and seeing first hand how designs are created, materials are made and products are manufactured.
SUMMARY OF A JOURNEY
Each Journey will focus on a particular topic (with the content and duration of these journeys customisable to compliment your curriculum) - i.e.
A Virtual Journey into Sustainable Design
A Virtual Journey into A Career in Design
A Virtual Journey into The Impact of COVID-19 on Global Design
Journey's will be split into weekly sessions, each hosted by an industry professional presenting their view on the topic;
Session will last an hour and will be split roughly by 40 minutes of “presenting” (in an informal and intimate style) and 20 minutes of Q&A.
The setting of their webinar will be central to transporting the students into the experience, for example a designer discussing their design process might speak to the group directly from their studio.
The whole structure will be super informal and organic - no high-tech requirements!

We would love to talk to you about whether a Virtual Journey could be of interest to you and your department - either as part of the dedicated curriculum or as an additional component for students.
Regardless of the barriers that have been created by COVID-19, our intention is to give students a broad and global perspective of the fashion and design industry from the safety of their classroom - or even home.
If you would like to hear more, please drop us an email and we would be happy to jump on a call or share a copy of our proposal with you.
