History: Before it was built, the racecourse area was a swampland, but also the only flat ground suitable for horse racing on Hong Kong Island. Through the years, the city has built around the Happy Valley race course, and now the night skyline of illuminated skyscrapers is a sight in itself.

Itinerary: The tour includes collection from the hotel, a trip on the Star Ferry, dinner at the famous American Peking restaurant, entrance to the Happy Valley races and a bus transfer back to the hotel.

Dinner will include the restaurants staple – roasted Peking duck - along with a mix of Western-friendly Chinese dishes (incl. spring rolls, salt and pepper squid, chilli beef, and local dessert).

At the races the group will be able to stand by the rails and take in all the action alongside local Hong Kong Chinese and expats alike, as the horses blitz by in a frenzy to the finish line.
