DESIGN INTERNSHIP PROGRAMME
HONG KONG AND CHINA, JAN 02-31, 2019

A four week programme, designed specifically for and in conjunction with Massey University and Auckland University of Technology. The objective of the programme is provide students from both universities with the opportunity to spend time exploring the design industry in Hong Kong and Guangzhou, and to build connections that will last a lifetime.
Successful applicants will be given the opportunity to intern with some of Hong Kong and Guangzhou’s leading and most dynamic brands; from start-ups to global names, and across all areas within the fashion and design space (including fashion design, trend forecasting and styling, production, graphic design, 3D animation and gaming design, interior architecture and urban design).
Students will be able to indicate their preference and speak with internship companies before final allocation.
All students selected to participate in the programme will receive a generous grant from the Prime Minister’s Scholarship Asia to contribute to the programme’s total cost .
Total cost payable by students: NZD 860*.
*Visas and insurance (NZD390) are required to be covered on top of this, as is food (approx NZD1200 for the programme’s duration) and any additional activities.

The programme is open to students who:
Are in their third or fourth year of study in 2019;
Are NZ citizens or permanent residents;
Are currently enrolled in any design related course at Massey University or AUT. These include:
Visual Communication Design
Creative Media Production
Bachelor of Design (AUT).
Students must also meet the home university’s eligibility requirements.
